The institute is located on NH-2 (popularly known as Delhi road), 1.5 Kms. beyond Rajhat crossing towards the North and 5 Kms from Bandel Railway junction. Bandel junction being located on the Howrah-Bardhaman main line, all Bardhaman bound trains from Howrah or Howrah bound trains from Bardhaman ply through Bandel. There are frequent Naihati-Bandel local train services. Naihati being situated on the Sealdah main line, Naihati-Bandel locals can be availed of. Kalyani junction railway station is 20 Kms. and Kalyani Simanta is 15 Kms. away from Bandel via "Iswargupta Setu". Frequent vehicular services are also available from those points. Frequent ferry services are available on the Hooghly river:- Naihati- Chuchura, Jagaddal-Chuchura, Shyamnagar-Bhadreswar, Barrackpore-Bhadreswar, Barrackpore-Serampore and Bagmore-Dunlopghat.
The distance of the Institute is about 40 Kms. from Dankuni crossing on the Kona Expressway, a drive of about 1hr.15 min. via Bidyasagar Setu or 1hr.30min. via Nibedita Setu either from the heart of the city of Kolkata or from Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport, Kolkata.
