The College is located in a sylvan surrounding at Saidapet, which is in the heart of the Chennai City, 1 km from Saidapet Bus stand and Railway station. It is affiliated to the University of Madras and offers undergraduate courses in Computer Science and applications, Mathematics, Bio-Chemistry, Nutrition and Dietetics, Commerce, Corporate Secretaryship and Business Administration. BCA and B.Com courses are also provided in the Evening College
The Annai veilankanni's educational and cultural society, saidapet, chennai- 15 was founded by Dr.S. Devaraj, in the year 1988,
The arts and science college was started on 18-9-2000 at saidapet opposite the avc school. the college was approved by the government of tamil nadu by G.O. No. 296, dated 10-7-2000;
Affiliation was granted by the University of madras for eight under graduate courses in the day college, namely, BCA
Bcom
Bcom corporate Secretaryship,
Bsc Mathematics
Bsc nutrition and Dietetics,and
BBA
And started teh Evening College with two undergraduate courses namely BCa & B.Com exclusively for boys.
