About IES Management College and Research Centre
Established in 1998, the IES Management College and Research Centre (IESMCRC), Mumbai is under the management of the Indian Education Society (IES) which is renowned for setting up educational institutions offering quality educational programs at all academic levels. IESMCRC offers scholarships to meritorious students, and awards and prizes for toppers.
On the IESMCRC Campus The academic building of the Wi-Fi-enabled IESMCRC campus has air-conditioned classrooms with relevant technological facilities, a sports room for indoor games, and outdoor sports facilities for cricket, football, etc. In addition to the main canteen on the ground floor that serves breakfast and lunch, there is a Cafe Cofee Day outlet on the second floor for general snacks and hot beverages. The huge Information Resource Centre (IRC) has an extensive collection of books, national and international journals, dictionaries, government reports, research volumes, etc. Books and journals can also be accessed through E-Resource facilities, with computers and headphone facilities provided to the students for the duration of a few hours. In addition to the reading room, there is an academic discussion room as well. Other infrastructure includes computer labs, a medical room, locker facilities, a tiffin room, separate common rooms for girls and boys, etc.
Academics and Activities IESMCRC, Mumbai offers two PGDM programs and a Ph.D. program that is affiliated with the University of Mumbai. There are also Management Development programs for industry executives, and a certificate program in business analytics as well.
Students not only attend the regular classroom lectures delivered by highly qualified faculty but also attend Guest lectures, workshops, seminars, etc. Working on actual projects and taking up summer internship opportunities are part of the academic years at the college. Outbound camps are organized to develop leadership abilities and decision-making skills. Students are encouraged to set up their own clubs, some of which currently are related to finance, HR, business operations, and marketing. They are also actively involved with various community development projects, including voluntary ones, and those associated with the CSR programs of corporate houses.
An interesting learning experience at IESMCRC is through 'Corporate Kabbadi' which teaches aspects of management through games and activities. Students regularly participate in local and national-level competitions. Job placements are organized by the college, prior to which preparatory sessions are scheduled to familiarize students with how to participate in Group Discussions (GDs) and Personal Interviews (PIs).
Admission procedure Students seeking admission to any of the programs can send queries related to the program, such as eligibility, fees, etc by email or contact the Admissions Office directly. A handbook and brochure will be made available for downloading to enable students to get detailed information about the program which they are keen to join, including the list of Electives offered.
