About Mahatma Gandhi College for Arts and Science for Women

Mahatma Gandhi College for Arts and Science for Women - to empower women in higher education. Located at Sankarankovil. Approved by Government of Tamilnadu and affiliated to Manonmaniam Sundarana University.

Mahatma Gandhi College for Arts and Science for Women was established in the year 2010 with an aim to support education in rural areas. Currently, around 80 villages are getting benefited by this institute. It is affiliated to Manonmaniam Sundaranar University. The Sri K. Ramachandra Naidu Memorial Educational Trust is taking care of the management of this college. It is playing a major role in producing excellent professionals out of its girl students and offering them opportunities globally.

Facilities

Being a girls college imparting education to the girls of nearby rural areas, it offers accommodation for them in hostels. This facility is free of cost for students belonging to SC/BC/DNC/MBC category.

The college also has an RO Drinking water facility on the campus, for students as well as staff. Bus facility is there to pick-up and dropping of the students. Apart from the basic facilities, the college also arranges scholarships for needy students belonging to the SC/ST category.
