About Sri Saradha Niketan College For Women
Sri Sarada Niketan College for Women was established in the year 1997 by Srimath Swami Atmananda and it offers education to the women students residing in Amaravathipudur, Karaikudi. The institution is recognized by the UGC, New Delhi and is affiliated to Alagappa University. The college offers quality education and also inculcates dedication, discipline, culture and spiritual values into the minds of the students. The college is accredited with B Grade by NAAC. The institution provides UG and PG programmes in arts, science, commerce and management.
Infrastructure The college campus is filled with coconut groves and it provides a green environment to the students. The campus has spacious buildings with well-furnished and ventilated classrooms. The students are provided with well-equipped labs for Physics and Bio chemistry with modern facilities. Separate computer lab with high speed network facilities is available for the students to improve their computer knowledge. The college library is stocked with many books, journals, magazines and 24 hours internet facilities. The students are provided with hostel and recreational facilities. A water purification plant is located within the campus and it provides hygienic water to the students. Student services like canteen, car driving classes, Xerox, placement cell, personality development program, counselling for IAS and IPS exams and many more are provided within the campus.
Academics The institution offers UG and PG courses as per the syllabus of Alagappa University. Totally 10 departments are operating in the college, out of which 2 are Arts department, 5 are Science department and 3 are commerce and management department. A diploma programme in Computer Application (DCA) is also offered by the college.
