IIT- Dream of everyone 4 out of 54 out of 54 out of 54 out of 5
IIT was establish in the early 1950s and 1960s for improvement in quality of technical education. IIT was established under the Institutes of Technology Act, 1961. The main aim for establishment of IITs is to provide better technical education in India and at a low fees. The 1961 act lists seven IIT in major state of India. Every year IIT provides good and the best engineers and scientists in over the world. Besides 1961 act the new act in 2010 lists nine new IIT all over the India. Today there are sixteen IIT present in India which provides better education then any other technical institution. Each IIT is an university linked to other through a common IIT council which look at the administration of all IITs. Every year IIT conduct its own entrance examination called joint entrance examination for undergraduate courses and GATE for higher studies. IIT also offers Ph.D, M.Sc through test such as JMET and JAM.
