About Central Avian Research Institute
The Central Avian Research Institute (CARI)was set up in 1979 as part of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) to provide the necessary training & support in various disciplines of Poultry Science. CARI is an institution associated with the Ministry of Food Processing Industries, Govt. of India.
The present Director is Dr.R.P.Singh
Programs: CARI provides PG programs leading to Master's and Doctoral degree in Poultry Science and National Diploma course of Poultry Husbandry (NDPH) with the Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izatnagar, U.P.
In addition, CARI provides specialized training programs for poultry professionals, such as Poultry Feeding and Quality Control, Quail production, Turkey production, Poultry Hatchery Operation, etc. There is also a special program 'Application of Biotechnological Techniques' for biotechnology students.
