About Institute of Management & Research
Established in 1986 by Khandesh College Education Society, the Institute of Management & Research (IMR), Jalgaon is an AICTE-approved college that is affiliated to North Maharashtra University, Jalgaon. The college offers MBA, MCA and Ph.D. programs.
Highlights The Research Center for Commerce and Management of IMR encourages both, students and faculty, to undertake research projects. The Training and Placement Cell schedules pre-placement talks and prepares the students for interviews, written tests, and group discussions for potential job opportunities. On-campus, as well as off-campus interviews for all final year students, are arranged by this Cell. IMR Infotech is the Software Development Cell that offers digital services to various business clients.
Campus infrastructure The air-conditioned classrooms on the IMR, Jalgaon campus have interactive teaching-learning aids, with a wireless network available throughout the Wi-Fi-enabled campus. The computer labs have top-notch equipment, including laser printers, and software. There are individual libraries with reading areas for the MBA and MCA programs, with subject-related textbooks, reference books, journals, etc. The books are available not only in English but also in Marathi and Hindi. There are even books for competitive exams, such as MPSC, UPSC, etc. A book bank facility is available for SC students. Other facilities include a seminar hall, a meeting hall, canteen, etc.
Sports facilities, too, are top-notch at the Eklavya Krida Sankul complex that has courts for badminton, lawn tennis, basketball, and table tennis, a swimming pool, fields for cricket and football, a skating rink, etc. Designated areas have been assigned also for the traditional sport of Mallakhamb, archery, judo, and karate. Yoga classes are also scheduled by the department of Yoga and Naturopathy.
