About Indian Veterinary Research Institute
The Indian Veterinary Research Institute, Izatnagar has been established for livestock research and development of the region. Established in 1889, it has over 200 faculty for providing post-graduate education to students and education to field veterinarians, as well as consultancy. In addition, the Institute offers diploma courses in veterinary preventive medicine, animal husbandry, veterinary biological products, animal reproduction, poultry husbandry, medicine and surgery, zoo and wild animal health care and management, meat and meat products technology. IVRI has been given deemed University status.
