About the college
The VTM (Velu Thampi Memorial) College of Arts & Science was started in 2004. The college is managed by VTM Educational Trust which is a part of Kanyakumari Nair Service society. The college is affiliated with Manonmaniam Sundaranar University and also it approved by the Government of TamilNadu.
The college campus is located in a 10-acre land and has a library with working hours from 9.00 am to 4.00 pm. The transportation facility for students is also provided by the college.

| The Velu Thampi Memorial (VTM) College of Arts & Science was started in the year 2004 and is managed by the unit of the Kanyakumari District Nair Service Society, which was registered in 1997 and it is unit, the VTM Educational Trust takes care of the VTM College in Tamil Nadu. The college is affiliated to Manonmaniam Sundaranar University, Tirunelveli and is sanctioned by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
Admissions The College offers various Under Graduate and Post Graduate courses in the field of Arts, Science and Commerce. The admissions are offered in the first semester of any course. For admissions, candidates are supposed to submit their application in the prescribed format or the form can be collected from the college office by paying Rs. 150/-. Other documents that are required for admission are original mark sheets of the previous qualification, Transfer Certificate and Conduct Certificate issued by the institute attended the last. Migration Certificate is required if the student has pursued the qualifying course from another university or board. In such a case, the eligibility certificate from Manonmaniam Sundaranar University is also required.
Facilities The college fulfills all the basic needs of the students and the staff. It has a rich library with an excellent collection of books and an internet facility. Students can use this facility from 9.30 in the morning till 4.00 in the evening on working days. A reading room is attached to the library and students can sit and read the books there in free hours. Books can also be borrowed for 14 days by students and sub lending of these borrowed books is not allowed.
Related to sports, the college has all the facilities for outdoor sports, games, athletics, etc. It also has open ground to organize track events and field events.
Secure transport services are available in the college to pick up and drop students from different parts of the city. This facility is completely optional and students need to pay separately for this.
Activities Students can participate in various activities other than academic activities in this college. Different clubs are there, like Red Ribbon Club, Quiz Club, Youth Red Club, Eco Club, etc. The college participates in the National Service Scheme and students can participate in the same voluntarily.
