Indian Institute of Technology, Bhubaneswar was established on 22nd July, 2008 under the mentorship of Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur.
At present it is functioning in a Temporary campus and the permanent campus is coming up on 936 acres of land at Arugul,which is 20km from the main city,Bhubaneswar.
