About Dr. D.Y.Patil College of Arts, Commerce, and Science
Dr. D.Y. Patil Arts, Commerce & Science College was started in 1995 and is affiliated to the University of the Pune. It is also accredited with ‘A' Grade by NAAC and is recognized by the Government of Maharashtra. The college is having rich architecture with many departments that support effective education and a healthy study environment. It is well known for its highly efficient and experienced staff, advanced laboratories and meritorious students giving excellent performances in not only academics but also in several extra-curricular activities. The institute is dedicated to offering innovative and traditional ways of education and offers academic knowledge with high social values.
LibraryThe college library was started in 1995 with around 35,000 books and many magazines and journals. It has a sitting facility for around 240 students and staff. It also has a subscription for many e-books and e-journals through DELNET and the setup is available on the ground floor of the library. There is a digital section attached to the library with 25 computers and internet facility. The library also offers an Inter-Library Loan membership of SPPU Jayakar Library Pune, NCL Pune, British Library Pune and Gokhale Institute Politics Pune for students and supports resource sharing among them.
FacilitiesThe college has all the required facilities for effective learning. There are 37 classrooms and 25 classrooms are having LCD facilities. Separate laboratories for Commerce, Science, language and Social science are also there in the college for the students of respective domains. Computer laboratories are also well equipped with advanced setups and internet access for all. Apart from these, a seminar hall, administrative office, parking area, separate common rooms for both boys and girls and a hygienic canteen is also there on the campus. The playground is available with required instruments for outdoor games with their respective coaches. The whole campus is under CCTV surveillance through CCTV cameras and students can avail of the photocopy, printing and scanning facilities from the institute itself.
