Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Govt. Polytechnic, Port Blair was established in the year 1984, it is a premier technical education and training institute in the islands. This institute is the first Govt. Diploma level institution in the country to get ISO 9001 Quality System Certification.
The Institute awards Diploma, Trade Diploma and Post Diploma in various branches of technology , science and others diversified areas. Presently the Institute has about 768 Diploma and 1418 Community Polytechnic students , 34 regular faculties, and more than 100 supporting staffs. Introduction and OverviewDr. B.R. Ambedkar Government Polytechnic is in Port Blair, Andaman. This college was founded in the year 1984. This college offers diploma in engineering.
