About RV College of Physiotherapy
R.V.College of Physiotherapy was established in the year 2003, with a purpose of providing quality Physiotherapy education to aspiring youngsters. R.V.College of Physiotherapy is affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science, Bangalore, recognized by Government of Karnataka. The College and the hospital are located in spacious building and equipped with latest equipments to treat the patients with various medical conditions.. The College has dedicated and experienced faculty. The college offers Bachelor of Physiotherapy (BPT) course, which is of 4and1/2 years duration including 6 months compulsory rotatory internship programme and Masters in Physiotherapy (MPT)course,which is of 2 years duration. R. V. College of Physiotherapy is one of the 28 leading educational institutions of national and international reputation, run by the Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust,in which some 15,000 students are studying .The students who have passed out of these institutions in the last six decades have excelled in life, bringing laurels, and glory. Eminent academicians, scholars, lesders, industrialists and others have showered accolades on its achievements and accomplishments.

PHYSIOTHERAPY: - Physiotherapy is a system of health-care delivery, which detects, diagnosis, and treats physical dysfunction using physical modalities such as exercises and activities, heat and cold, electricity and water with the help of modern technology. The approach of Physiotherapy is that of holistic patent care leading to psycho physiological restoration requisitioning biomedical engineering aids and appliances, their checkout and training protocols and finally leading towards medical rehabilitation.
ELIGIBILITY FOR B.P.T: - Candidates who have passed Pre-University examination (10+ 2) level examination or any other equivalent Examination recognized by the board with a minimum of 40% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology as optional subjects with English as a subject of study. In case of Candidates belonging to SC/ST the minimum percentage of marks shall be 35% in the Qualifying subjects.
DURATION OF THE B.P.T COURSE: - The duration shall be four years and six months with 4 years of study period and 6 months of compulsory rotatory internship.
ELIGIBILITY FOR M.P.T: -Candidates who have passed B.Sc. (PT) of BPT degree with minimum 3½ years or 4½ years in RGUHS or any other university in India or abroad as equivalent with not less than 50% of marks in aggregate and have completed 6 months of compulsory rotatory Internship in a recognized physiotherapy college are eligible .
DURATION OF M.P.T COURSE: - The duration shall be two years.
CLINICAL TRAINING: - Students are given the clinical training in its rehabilitation centre and also at 1) Sevakshetra Hospital.2) Sri Krishna Sevashrama Hospital.3)Proposed R.V.Hospital and in other leading hospitals.
OUT PATIENT DEPARTMENT:- The College runs a full-fledged out patient department where the students not only avail clinical training, but also develop hands-on training. Dedicated to evidence based quality patient care Our Mission at R.V.College of Physiotherapy is to provide excellent Physiotherapy programs that result in improved, pain-free function. We provide patients with state-of-the-art facilities and equipment to help accomplish their rehabilitation goals.
