About National Institute of Technology,Puducherry - Karaikal

It is one of the 8 Nits established by Ministry of Human Resource and Developmeny in the year 2010. Law with reference to this was passed in the parliament in the year 2007. It is presently under the the mentor ship of NIT - Trichy.

The seat allotment to the college is divided into two. 50% of seats is given to home states and remaining 50% to all India. At present students from the Union territories of Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Pondicherry are eligible for home quota
