About Kanya Gurukul Mahavidyalaya
Kanya Gurukul Campus, also known as Kanya Gurukul Mahavidyalaya (KGM), Haridwar was founded in 1992. The college was specially established for women students to develop their mental and intellectual level through education. College is a part of Gurukul Kangri (Deemed to be University). The college offers Postgraduate courses in Science and Arts streams. Research facilities are also available.
Infrastructure/FacilitiesThe campus is spread over in 4 acres' area and consists of an Academic block (including Science Block and Arts block), Administrative block, library, and a computer centre. College campus and good infrastructures. Almost all types of facilities are available for students. A big library rich in good quality books, well equipped Computer Centre, Cafeteria gymnasium for the use of students, teachers, and other college staffs, canteen, playground, two big halls for multidisciplinary activities, Yajanshala (for Yagya on weekends and special occasions), Medical Facilities, well-equipped Laboratories and Auditorium etc.
Admission ProcedureAdmissions to Master degree courses and Ph.D. programs of Kanya Gurukul Campus are done based on the entrance exam conducted by Gurukula Kangri (Deemed to be University), Haridwar. Application forms and prospectus are usually released in May/June each year and the entrance exam is conducted in June/July. The session starts in August each year.
Scholarship facilities and PlacementsThe scholarships are provided to the students from various funding government agencies such as UGC, CSIR, DBT, etc. Apart from this, INSPIRE, Rajiv Gandhi National Fellowship, and other scientific Research fellowships/scholarships also are availed by the students. After completing the courses, the college placement cell also offers placement opportunities through placement agencies. various companies and institutes of repute offer good placements to the students.
