About Sngap Syiem Memorial College
Sngap Syiem Memorial College, started in 1985, is managed by Maharam Syiemship Higher Education Association. The college is permanently affiliated with North-Eastern Hill University and is also recognised by UGC with under "12B" accreditation. The college celebrated its Silver Jubilee in 2010. This is the only college in the Southwest Khasi hill district.
The college offers some add on courses other than Under Graduate courses. These include Spoken Hindi, Spoken English, Khasi Traditional Music, Diploma in Computer, IGNOU distance education courses etc.
Campus facilities The College has a girls hostel located near to the college campus. The campus has a library well stocked with more than 4000 books. An outdoor basketball and volleyball court is there on the campus. NCC Parade, and other functions are held. Safe drinking water facility is also available for the students and staff.
