Netaji Mahavidyalaya located at Arambagh, around 75 km away from the metropolitan city of Kolkata, has been devising the right ambiance for the development of scientific aptitude and environmental awareness among the budding kids.

Commencing its journey in the year 1948, the College offers around 20 honors courses in varied segments. While the Honors course in Santali shows diligence to tradition, a student can even study Computer Science Honors also at this college. The College has been offering BBA and BCA courses to facilitate job opportunities to the district students.
Netaji Mahavidyalaya also proffers hostel facilities for both boy and girl students and all run direct by the College.

Netaji Mahavidyalaya, Arambagh a well known college under Burdwan University. This college formally known as 'Kalipur College'. On the bank of Dwarakeswar river this college was established by Dr. Radha Krishna Pal. Nowadays students from different walks of life come to these study center and get Certificate, Diploma. Under-graduate and Post-graduate degrees in different subjects.

LocationThe college is situated at Kalipur, Ward No. 18, within the Arambagh Municipality on the western bank of the river Dwarakeswar. Arambagh, a town at the western-most part of Hooghly, in a way, the gateway of three districts. viz. Burdwan, Bankura and Medinipur. Form the Burdwan railway station to Arambagh is 42 km and from Tarakeswar station to Arambagh is 28 km by road. At present Arambagh has been connected by railway line with Howrah and will very soon be connected with Bishnupur, temple town.
The CampusThe campus of Netaji Mahavidyalaya college is very study friendly. Students easily concentrate on their studies on this noise fee campus. Admission ProcessThe admission on this college done through offline process. After passing Higher Secondary (10+2) examination with a good percentage students can apply for took admission on this college. Application Form are available from the college office or it can be downloaded from www.netajimahavidyalayaarambagh.com and submit it on the college office. After publishing merit list students must took admission on this college.
The LibraryOne of the best part of this college is Central Library, it plays an important role in guiding the students in selecting their reference books and study materials. Presently it has grown in to a house of nearly 43,000 books 39 periodical journals and 7 daily newspapers. Apart from all these printed books, the college has 3,900 e-journals and 72,000 e-books by subscribing INFLIBNET-NLIST program. From the lending section students can lend any books. This section open for 6 days from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Library members can access 72,000 e-books from any location by providing user ID and password.
Laboratory and EquipmentAll the laboratory based departments like Chemistry, Physics. Botany, Zoology, Computer Science, Computer Application, Geography, Plant Protection, Environmental Studies have well- equipped laboratories, though infrastructure requires to be developed further. Computer facilities are also available for the students. Internet, Fax, Intercom, Telephone booth and Photocopying facilities are also available in the college office, department and Library.
FacilitiesThis college provide many facilities to its students. The provide scholarships for SC, ST, OBC, Minority and economically weaker students. Provide special coaching classes for its students. College organize departmental seminar and tours. Annual fees relaxation for 60% up scorer in the exam. NCC and NSS facilities are also available. There is also a Multi-Gymnasium in the college for students. College has set up a giant and up-to-date telescope on its own premises for Sky Watching Campus. College has arranged for a post office named 'Netaji Mahavidyalaya Post Office' on its premises. The college has Water Analysis Laboratory.
The Hostel facultyThe college having a wide interlaced has good hostel facilities for both male and female students. Two boys hostel have capacity 150 boarders. The three stored Girl's hostel has a capacity of 120 boarders. Students are admitted to the hotel on the basis of distance of their residence from the hostel and their respective merit.
