About National Institute of Technology, Mizoram
National Institute of Technology, Mizoram was set up in 2010 to provide scientific and technical education as well as top-notch research facilities.
NIT Mizoram educational programs- Undergraduate programs in Engineering
- Post graduate programs in Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Humanities and Social Sciences
- MBA
- Research facilities to those who wish to pursue research in the fields Engineering, Basic and Applied sciences & Humanities and Social Sciences. Students can thus acquire Ph.D. in these fields.
Scholarships B. Tech students of NIT Mizoram can apply for a variety of scholarships with stipends. These are offered both by organizations as well as by MSJE, Govt. of India.
Campus ActivitiesStudents attend technical seminars & actively participate in cultural and sports activities.
Campus Facilities & InfrastructureIt should be noted that NIT Mizoram is currently functioning from a temporary campus in Aizawl. Besides the academic & administrative blocks, there are 3 hostel Blocks (at Tanhril) and 1 Hostel Block (at Zemabawk). Separate hostel facilities are provided for both girls and boys. The permanent campus will eventually come up at Lengpui, Aizawl district.
The campus library has a number of e-journals in addition to books & national newspapers. The library is open from Monday to Friday.
NIT Mizoram has its own Training & Placement Cell (Ph: 0389-23890389). Training & internship offers have come in for the students from reputed companies & corporate houses, such as Tata Power, BHEL, Indian Oil, BSNL, etc.
