About National College of Arts & Science
National College is one of the leading self-financing Arts and Science College which is affiliated to University of Kerala since 1995. It was established by a Manarul Huda Trust. The college offers undergraduate and Post graduate courses. The college has well-equipped computer labs, basic science labs, Bioscience research unit etc. A good library is also an added facility. There is also a physical education department. Well trained teachers are an added advantage.
It is a self- funding college started with only 2 undergraduate courses and now offering various graduate and post-graduate level courses in the field of Arts and Science. The postgraduate courses were started in the year 2005.
FacilitiesThe central library of the college is spacious and has a good collection of books. It is situated in the main building at the campus.
There is a new 3-storey building where all the advanced laboratories including language lab, computer labs, sciences labs, etc. are located. It also has a huge seminar hall to be used for conducting guest lectures. The genetic engineering labs and tissue culture labs with all advanced equipment and instruments like Micro photographic unit, UV-Transilluminator, etc are the main features at this college.
There is a separate Bioscience Research Unit in the college offering all the branches related to the field of biotechnology. Research facilities are also there since 2009 with some research scholars pursuing their Ph.D.
The physical education department provides all required facilities for many indoor and outdoor games. It supports and guides the students for participation in various competitions.
