About Adi Shankara Institute of Engineering & Technology
The rootsAdi Shankara Institute of Engineering & Technology started in 2001 under the patronage of Sringeri Mutt's Sree Sree Bharathitheertha Mahaswamigal. The college had its humble beginnings with a few engineering undergraduate courses which was then followed by MBA and MTech courses.
Who runs it?The entire college is under the administration of Adi Sankara Trust, which also runs the sister concerns Sree Sankara College, Sree Sharada School, Adi Sankara Training school and Adi Sankara Institute of Legal Studies. Dr B.S.Krishnan chairs the trust along with Shri K.Anand, Managing director. The college is privileged to have two experts in their respective fields - Dr S.G.Iyer as the Director and Dr Neelakandan P.C. as the Principal.
LocationThe college is located in one of the most prestigious places in Kerala - Kalady. Kalady is the birthplace of the spiritual leader Jagadguru Sree Adi Shankaracharya, who advocated the idea of Santana Dharma to the world.
The college is strategically located such that it's close to airport, bus terminals and railway station.
