About Hindusthan College of Education
Hindusthan College of Education was established in the year 2007 and is run by Hindusthan educational and charitable trust. The institution is recognized by NCTE and is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University. The institution is accredited with 'A' grade by NAAC. The college has good infrastructure and experienced teachers. The main aim of the college is to educate the students and train them to be a good citizen in the society.
Facilities The college is spread in a large campus with large building and spacious classrooms. The classrooms are also fitted with digital resources such as LCD projectors and other interactive learning and teaching aids. Separate laboratories are available for Psychology, Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physical Science, Biological science, history resource room and geography to improve the proficiency. The college library has nearly 6871 books on 4516 titles, 23 research and international journals and 10 magazines on almost all the knowledge. Separate hostel for boys and girls are available for the students with veg and non-veg food. The cafeteria which is present inside the college premises offers healthy snacks, food, ice-cream, fresh juices, Chinese food, etc.
Academics and Activities The college offers B.Ed education on Tamil, English, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physical Science, Biological Science, History and Geography.
The college has many clubs and each club conduct various activities. The literary club (Tamil and English) conducts debate, seminars, group discussions and quiz to improve the language and the literary skills. The department of Biological science conducts environmental awareness, health and hygiene programmes, medical camp and tree plantation. The department of Physical science conducts science fairs and exhibitions.
Traditional sports is a part of the college programme and the students are given training in sports and games such as chess, carrom, table tennis, volley ball, throw ball, shuttle, badminton, kho kho and athletics. The students are also allowed to participate in co-curricular activities such as drawing and painting competition, cultural competitions and elocution to prove their talent.
