About Sacred Heart Nursing College
Sacred Heart Nursing College was started in the year 1992 and is run by Ultra Trust. It is a co-educational institution. The college offers UG and PG programmes on Nursing. The institution is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R. Medical University, Chennai and is approved by Tamil Nadu Nursing Council. The main aim of the college is to provide education to the students on the field of Nursing and service.
Academics
Sacred Heart Nursing College offers UG, PG and Ph.D programmes on Nursing. In addition, the college also offers diploma course in General nursing and Midwifery. The college follows the revised curriculum of Indian Nursing Council. Totally 6 departments are operating in the college. Each and every department of Sacred Heart Nursing College is designed with separate aim, goal and vision. The faculties from each department provide quality education to the students on the subject of nursing and fulfil the aim of the department. The departments that are operating in the college are

Infrastructure
The college has well-furnished classrooms and well equipped laboratories. Computer lab with computers and internet facility is available for the students. A seminar room with LCD, OHP Projectors and audio visual facilities are available in the college to present seminars. The college library has variety of books, national journals and international journals on Nursing. The library has photocopying facilities and the students can take photocopy of the required books present in the library. The students can also read and take notes in the reading room present in the library. The college has facilities for sports and games. The college offers separate hostel facilities for boys and girls with food, accommodation, recreational facilities and facilities for indoor and outdoor games.
Activities
The college encourages the students to gain experience in the field of nursing by involving the students to practice Clinical and Community health nursing. The Red Ribbon Club (RRC) and the Youth Red Cross (YRC) of the college conducts student related activities, awareness programmes, rallies,etc. The college conducts sports meet every year to bring out the sports talent of the students.
