About Surabi School of Nursing
Surabi School of Nursing was started in the year 2008 and is managed by Surabi Educational and Charitable trust. The main focus of the college is to develop students with scientific and practical knowledge on nursing and its service. The college is approved by Indian Nursing Council and Tamil Nadu Nursing Council and is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai. The diploma courses offered by the college are approved by Indian Nursing Council and Mother Teresa Women's University. The college has good infrastructure and experienced faculty members. The college also conducts guest lectures by experienced personalities from various hospitals at Dindigul.
Surai School of Nursing has its own parent hospital with 100 beds and has also tied up with V.O.C hospital at Dindigul and Jeganath Hospital at Dindigul. For students training, the college has tied up with the Government Hospital of Tamil Nadu at Dindigul.
Academics
Surabi School of Nursing offers UG courses, diploma courses and certification courses on Nursing. The college offers 3 years B.Sc nursing education courses approved by the Tamil Nadu Dr. M.G.R Medical University, Chennai on Medical Lab technology, Physical Assistant and Operation theater and Anesthesia technology and it also offers 3 and half years diploma in nursing (GNM) course approved by the Indian Nursing council. In addition, the college also offers 3 years course on hospital Administration, Applied Microbiology and 2 years diploma courses on Nursing Assistant, Nursing aide, Practical Nursing, First Aid and Practical Nursing and Medical lab technology. Surabi School of Nursing also offers one year certification courses in Nursing Assistant and Medical lab Technology.
Infrastructure
Surabi School of Nursing has hi-tech classroom, library, Computer lab, Nursing laboratories, audio visual rooms and auditorium. The seminar classrooms are fitted with audio-visual aids and digital resources such as OHP, LCD projectors, charts, posters, etc. The college has separate well equipped laboratories and lab sessions are conducted regularly in Nursing practice lab, nutritional lab, community lab and anatomy lab. The college library has more than 1000 books, magazines, journals and dailies. The college auditorium is well furnished and fitted with advanced audio and video devices to organize conference, seminars and meetings.
The college has a multi-specialty hospital with pharmacy and multiple units and the students are also given field training in the multi-specialty hospital owned by the college. The college has transport facilities, hostel facilities and facilities to play indoor and outdoor games.
