Crescent College of Education for Women was started in the year 2006 by a great philanthropist, Ahaj.B.S. Abdur Rahman. The college is sponsored by All India Islamic Foundation and it strictly follows the norms and the curriculum of the Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University. The college caters the educational needs of the women students in a technically advanced environment. The college gives equal importance to academics and co-curricular activities of the students.

Crescent College of Education for Women offers B.Ed programme in Tamil, English, Mathematics, Computer Science, Physical Science, Biological Science, Commerce, History and Social Science. The medium of instructions in the college is English. The duration of the course is 2 years.
