About Vijaya College of Education
Vijaya College of Education was established in 2015 and is managed by Vijayalakshmi Educational Trust. The college is approved by NCTE and is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University. It is a co-educational institution and it offers B.Ed education to the students in various disciplines. The college has well established infrastructure and provides a good learning environment to the students.
Academics
Vijaya College of education offers B.Ed programme in Tamil, English, Mathematics, Physical Science, Biological Science, Commerce, Political Science, Economics, Computer Science and History. The duration of B.Ed programme is 2 years. English is the medium of instructions in the college and the college follows the syllabus as prescribed by the Tamil Nadu Teachers Education University. The students are given education through theoretical and practical sessions. The college encourages the students to take seminars, micro-teaching sessions using power point presentations.
Infrastructure
Vijaya College of Education is located 6 km from the Dharmapuri Bus stand. The college campus provides a friendly learning and teaching environment to both the students and the staffs. The college has classrooms, educational technology lab, Psychology lab, Physical Science lab and Biological Science lab. The educational technology lab has digital resources, internet connectivity and audio visual equipment such as OHP, LCD, Camera, DVD, etc. Psychology lab, Physical science lab and Chemistry lab are well furnished and equipped with latest equipment, apparatus and instruments. The college library has variety of books, journals and magazines. The students are allowed to use Photocopying facility and he internet facility available inside the library. The college provides separate hostel facilities for both boys and girls.
