S. K. D. A. V. Government Polytechnic in Basanti Nagar at Rourkela of Odisha is one of the oldest government institution started functioning in the year 1967.

The co-educational institute also known as The Shushilavati Khosla Dayananda Anglo Vedic Government Polytechnic is under the aegis of skill development and technical education department of Government of Odisha.

The college is affiliated to All India Council of Technical Education, New Delhi.

The institution is situated at a distance of 3 Kms from Rourkela Railway Station and adjacent to many state highways.

The college imparts quality education in the following engineering disciplines:
1. Electronics & Communication
2. Information Technology
3. Post Diploma in Industrial Safety
4. Electrical Engineering
5. Civil Engineering

The college offers high quality laboratories for all disciplines, library facility and have its own playground to support all kinds of sports and games.

For all the above mentioned disciplines the college follows state syllabus.

The college offers admission to lateral entrants too who have scored the stipulated percentage of marks for each of the disciplines, the entrants should have done ITI in the respective discipline.
