About Andaman College
ANCOL Andaman College or ANCOL is located in Port Blair city in the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. It is a modern college established in 2014 to fulfil the ever-increasing educational needs of the students in the Andaman Islands. It is central government college that is affiliated to the Pondicherry University. The main idea of setting this college was to make the youth from the rural areas of Andaman aware of the various social and economic changes taking place in the society.
Courses and infrastructure The college offers a number of courses in the field of commerce, economics, management, sociology, psychology, music and the English language. Each one of the above disciplines has its own department. With its lively surroundings, the college presents a serene atmosphere for the students to study and improve upon their creativity and innovative skills. The college provides for quality education by using the services of qualified faculty. Each of the department endeavours to nurture the talent of the students in the respective field. Art and culture is an integral part of the courses here. On the art front, the focus is on music, especially Indian classical music. The college thus inculcates both artistic and creative values in the students.
