About National Institute of Technical Teacher Training & Research

This college is one of the Regional Technical Teachers' Training Institutes established by the Ministry of Human Research and Development in 1967. (Then called as the Ministry of Education). The Regional Technical Teachers' Training Institutes were established at Bhopal, Chandigarh, Chennai and Kolkata. These colleges were initially started in collaboration with Royal Netherlands Government until 1974. In 2006, the college got recognized as a Research center and initiated to offer PhD programmes as well.
