About Government Rehabilitation Institute For Intellectual Disabilities
In 1964, the college began as a small set up for 4 - 5 children under the guidance of Sh. J. S. Gandhi, who was then the Lecturer of Psychology in the Government College of Education. With the aim of providing education and vocational training for the mentally retarded children, this attempt grew and soon enough a completely separate building was created for their needs.
Some of the facilities provided at the institute are Diagnostic and medical care therapeutics Intervention, vocational Training, Guardianship, Genetics Center.
