Helen Keller's Institute of Research and Rehabilitation for the disabled children in Secunderabad is one of the branch among many across India to train candidates to teach people with disability, the institute is managed by an NGO which have branches across India.

The institute is approved and affiliated to Rehabilitation Council of India a Government of India organisation set-up to rehabilitate the disabled children.

The college offers Bachelor of Commerce courses in Computer Applications and for General subjects especially for hearing impaired individuals and incidentally this is only the second college to offer such courses in India.

The college also offers courses in B.Ed for Special Education, the course is in demand now as CBSE made it mandatory to appoint teachers in CBSE affiliated school who have done B.Ed in Special Education.
