About Mirza Ghalib College, Gaya
Mirza Ghalib College, Gaya was established in 1969 to promote higher education among Muslim Minority Community in Gaya city of Bihar. The college is affiliated to Magadh University, Bodh Gaya and offers various courses in Arts, Science and Commerce streams. However this college was started to promote higher education in Muslim Minority Community of Gaya city yet it is open to all the students from other religion and community. The college boasts to have a campus on more than 15 acres. There are 22 classroom along with 2 big seminar room where various events and program take place. There are 5 modern laboratories in different faculty like Science, Humanities and Language. The college has also a big library which has about 30000 books in stock. At a time as much as 45 students can sit and study comfortably. There is also a computer lab with 75 systems out of which 35 systems are connected with High-speed BSNL Broadband service. For playing various sports and games there is a playground in half acres besides an indoor stadium. The college offers many under graduate and post graduate courses in various disciplines of science, arts and commerce. Vocational courses like B.B.M and B.C.A has also been introduced. The college runs a special degree program in Urdu language. There is no any cafeteria available in college campus which causes a little inconvenience to students.
