About Ganga Devi Mahila Mahavidyalaya, Patna
Ganga Devi Mahila Mahavidyalay established in 1971, NAAC accredited 'Grade B', is a constituent unit of Magadh University, Bodh Gaya and approved by the Government of Bihar.
The college is situated on a land area of 2.5 acres with all the necessary facilities. The main motto of the college is to promote and impart high quality education to the girls coming from deprived and backward section of society.
There are separate buildings for Arts block, Science block and Administrative block along with conference room and an examination hall. The college also provides hostel facility to girls who hail from different parts of the country and state.
There is a canteen in the college campus which serves pure and hygienic food to students round the clock. There is a common room and health room with first aid facility.
Other facilities include highly modernized and digitized library with a huge stock of books and e-books. It's one of the main attractions of college.
There are separate labs for Science, Language, Home Science and a computer lab with latest computer systems and software.
The college pays equal attention on extracurricular activities and always encourages students to participate in various competitions, events and fests organized by the concerned societies of the college.
There is a branch of Central Bank of India and a stationery shop in the college campus to provide convenience to students studying in college and those residing in the hostel.
For fitness enthusiasts there is a gymnasium and a sports ground. There are also separate courts for playing volleyball and badminton.
The college mainly runs under graduate and graduate course in the faculty of Arts and Science. Recently college has also started Vocational training courses in B.C.A (Bachelor of Computer Applications) and B.B.M (Bachelor of Business Management).
