About Government Medical College, Bettiah
Government Medical College, Bettiah was established in 2008 with the effort of Government of Bihar under Health Department of Bihar Government. The college is affiliated with Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna and recognized and approved by medical council of India, New Delhi.
The college is located in lush green campus and has very good infrastructure. The college is attached with the reputed Maharani Janki Kunwar Hospital, Bettiah.
The classrooms are very spacious and well ventilated with all the requisite facilities. There is a library in the college campus having huge stocks of books on medical science and various other subjects.
There are modern laboratories for different subjects with all the latest apparatus. There is also a surgery lab to provide surgery skills to students.
The college organizes many cultural fests and events to refresh the mind of the students and to inculcate cultural and traditional values in them.
The college campus is Wi-Fi enabled. There are separate boys and girls hostel with proper living condition and all the facilities like gymnasium and indoor games. The students living in the hostel are served pure and hygienic meals and snacks.
GMC offers four and half year MBBS (Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery) degree program along with one year compulsory internship in the attached hospital. The college also runs various Para Medical & Paradental Diploma course to students.
