About Motihari College Of Engineering
Motihari College of Engineering earlier known as Indian College of Engineering was established in 1980 but later on it was shut down in 1994 due to some political reason. The college was reopened in 2008 by the effort of C.M Nitish Kumar.
MCE is fully government aided college under the Department of Science and Technology of Bihar Government. The college is affiliated with Aryabhatta Knowledge University, Patna.
The college has lush green campus and state of the art infrastructure with separate blocks for each department.
There are highly modernized laboratories with all the necessary tools, machines and apparatus. The computer lab has latest system and uses latest software.
There is a big library which houses a large collection of books and CD's to help students with reference work and quenching their thirst of knowledge on various subjects.
MCE has three hostels in the college campus. Two for boys and one for girls. The hostels have been recently rebuilt and modernized with many facilities which ensure a pleasant stay to students.
There is a playground where students play a number of games like cricket and football. There are also separate courts for basketball, volleyball, badminton and tennis.
Motihari College of Engineering runs four year B.Tech degree programs in four branches namely, Civil Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electrical & Electronics Engineering.
