Banwari Shankar College registered under the Society Registration act is located in the Saharsa district of Bihar. The college was established in 1981 and is affiliated with Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University, Madherpura and is duly recognized by Bihar Government.
The college has average quality infrastructure with separate blocks for each departments. The classrooms are well furnished and spacious with all the basic requirements.
There are separate laboratories for subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Mathematics, Geography etc. with all the requisite apparatus to enhance the learning experience.
The college library is stocked with large number of text books, reference books, journals, magazines, literature books etc. The library has been digitized recently and a new collection of e-books and CD's have been introduced there.
In the college campus there is a playground where students play many games like cricket, football, volleyball etc.
The absence of cafeteria in the college forces students to buy edibles from outside market which are not hygienic and threatens the health of students.
