About K.b. Jha College, Katihar
K.B Jha college was established in 1979 in the Katihar district of Bihar. The college is affiliated with Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University, Madhepura and recognized and approved by Government of Bihar.
Infrastructure and Facilities
The college has state of the art infrastructure with separate blocks for each department. The classrooms are designed in a way that a student feels comfortable and pay his full attention in the classroom. The laboratories are updated with latest apparatus and machines that make the learning easy and fun for students. There are separate laboratories for subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Zoology, Botany, Home Science etc. The college library has a huge collection of books including many text books, reference books, journals, literature books, magazines etc. The library has also a digital section having large collection of e-books, CD's and DVD's. Extra-curricular activities
There is a big playground and an indoor game mini complex for students along with a gymnasium for fitness enthusiasts. The NCC and NSS wing in the college organizes many events and fests at regular interval to keep the students afresh in the hectic academics schedule.
Hostel
There are boys and girls hostel with all the requisite facilities but boy's hostel is only for OBC category students.
Academics
K.B Jha college offers intermediate and honors courses in numerous disciplines of Arts, Science and Commerce. The college also runs Vocational training courses in B.C.A (Bachelor of Computer Applications) and B.B.A (Bachelor of Business Management).
