Karyanand Sharma Smarak Mahavidyalaya located in the Lakhisarai district of Bihar was established in 1966. The college is a constituent unit of Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University and duly recognized by Government of Bihar. The college is also registered under University Grant Commission, New Delhi.
Infrastructure and Facilities
The college campus is located on a vast land area but the infrastructure is of basic type. There are separate small blocks for each department. The classrooms are well ventilated and airy and have all the basic required facilities.
There are laboratories for subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology etc. with all the necessary apparatus but most of them are outdated. The college is working on the renovation of the laboratories.
The college library has a good collection of books including text books, reference books, journals, magazines, reports etc. There are enough books in the library required by a student pursuing under graduate degree. The college has proper arrangement of parking area, common room, auditorium and computer lab. However, there is no facility of canteen in the college campus which is troublesome.
Extracurricular Activities
The college has a big playground and separate courts for playing games like volleyball and badminton. The students from KSS college always participate in various games and sports events organized by university and other colleges across the city. The NSS and NCC wing in the college organizes various programs and cultural fests as per their schedule and routine.

K.S.S college mainly offers Intermediate and Bachelor degree courses in many subjects of Arts and Science.
