About Gajadhar Bhagat College, Naugachia
Gajadhar Bhagat College located in Naugachia of Bhagalpur district of Bihar was established in 1958. The college is a constituent unit of Tilka Manjhi Bhagalpur University and approved and recognized by Government of Bihar. The college is duly recognized by University Grant Commission, New Delhi and the college has been accredited Grade B by NAAC.
Infrastructure & Facilities
G.B College is blessed with a sprawling campus and has all the facilities. The infrastructure is beautiful and there are separate blocks for each department. The classrooms are spacious and ventilated and loaded with all the basic facilities.
There are modern laboratories equipped with latest tools and apparatus for different subjects like Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography etc. These laboratories act as a workshop for the students to apply their innovative ideas and develop practical skill.
The college library is stocked with large number of text books, journals, reference books, magazines reports etc. There is a sitting capacity of more than 50 students at a time.
There is a conference room, girls common room and medical and health center in the college campus. There is a parking zone and proper arrangement of potable water.
Hostel
There are two boys hostel in the GB college, one for general students and other is welfare hostel. The administration provides all the requisite facilities like geysers, coolers, common room with T.V, pure and hygienic meals to students living in hostel. The proper living conditions ensure a pleasant stay to students and help them to focus on their studies effectively.
Extra-curricular Activities
The college has a playground where students play a number of games like cricket, football, volleyball, kabbadi etc. The college participates in all the major sports events organized by University and also organizes many intra-college and inter-college games and sports events. The NCC wing in the college is very active and every year large number of students participates in the cadet training programs. The college also organizes many cultural fests and competition like dance competition, painting, singing, debates, essay competition etc. to increase the students participation in extra-curricular activities. The college also organizes many workshops and seminars to increase students interaction and provides them an opportunity to develop personality, communication skill and leadership skill.
Academics
G.B College offers both Intermediate and Bachelor degree programs in numerous subjects of Arts, Science and Commerce. The college is also running two Vocational courses in B.C.A (Bachelor of Computer Applications) and Industrial Fish & Fisheries. The college has set benchmark of academics excellence in its area through its highly qualified and trained teaching staffs. The batch of teachers is also ready to help students and motivates them to fare well in their academics.
