About Jamshedpur Womens College
Jamshedpur Women's College, the most prestigious women's college of steel city was established in 1953. The college is a constituent unit of Kolhan University, Chaibasa and also approved and recognized by the Government of Jharkhand. This is college is duly recognized by University Grant Commission, New Delhi. The college has been accredited Grade A by NAAC.
Infrastructure & Facilities
The college is located on a sprawling campus of 6 acres and has state of the art infrastructure. There are separate blocks for each department along with residential blocks for college staffs in the college campus.
The classrooms have been beautifully designed and there are all the necessary facilities. There are four big lectures room having seating capacity of about 200 students at a time. The classrooms are equipped with modern facilities like audio-visual aids, projectors and LCD screens.

Hostel Facility
There is a hostel behind the science block in the college campus where students from different part of the state and the country reside and continue their study. Extracurricular Activities
There is a mini sports complex in the college campus where students play a number of games like badminton, archery, kabbadi, kho-kho and many more under the guidance of coaches and game teachers. The college participates in many games and sports events organized by the University and across the state and the country.

The college has unit of NSS which organizes many social service programs to encourage students to participate in social welfare programs and develop serving attitude and team work spirits. There is also a NCC wing under which hundreds of students receive cadet training every year. Many cultural fests, youth fests, competitions, workshops and seminars are organized by the clubs and societies active in the college.

Jamshedpur Women's College offers both undergraduate and post graduate courses in the numerous disciplines of Arts, Science and Commerce. The college also offers many Vocational and Ad-On training courses like B.C.A, B.B.A, M.B.A. Bio-Technology and many more. JSR Women's College also offers B.Ed and M.Ed degree programs.
