About Model Mahila College
Model Mahila College established in 2016 is located in Sarikela-Kharsawan of Jharkhand. The college is a constituent unit of Kolhan University, Chaibasa and approved by the Government of Jharkhand.
Infrastructure & Facilities
The college is located in a sprawling campus spread over several acres of land and has good quality infrastructure. There are separate blocks for each department like administrative block, library block, separate labs etc. The classrooms are airy and ventilated and fulfill all the basic requirements.
There are separate laboratories for different subjects with all the requisite resources and tools. Students perform practical under the guidance of able and qualified teachers.
The college library has been stocked with huge collection of text books, reference books, magazines and journals. The college has latest editions of most of the books and students are free to use them as per their convenience and requirements.
There are common rooms, conference room cum auditorium where most of the programs are organized by the college.
The college has proper arrangement of drinking water and parking facility.
Co-Curricular Activities
The college has a playground where students play many games. The college also organizes many sports programs to encourage students to take interest in games and sports because the college believes in the theory that sound mind lives in a sound body. There is a NSS unit in the college which carries out different social services, seminars, programs etc. according to its schedule to develop social service attitude and team work spirit.
Academics
The college imparts quality education in the numerous disciplines of Arts and Commerce. The college offers undergraduate course in these two streams. The college is trying to offer some more courses along with Vocational training courses in upcoming sessions.
