About Adarshabani Teachers Training College
Adarshabani Teachers Training College is located in the Malda district of West Bengal. The college is affiliated with University of Gour Banga, Malda and approved and recognized by the Government of West Bengal.
Infrastructure & Facilities
The college is located over a land area of several acres and has state of the art infrastructure. The classrooms are spacious and ventilated and equipped with all the facilities and resources required for the smooth running of classes.
There is a library which houses large number of text books, reference books, journals, magazines and reports. There is a reading room besides the library where about 100 students can sit and study at a time.
There is a multipurpose hall and girls common room.
The college has separate laboratories for different subjects like Physics, Biology, Psycho, Geography and Physical Science. Although these laboratories do not have the latest tools and apparatus yet it has enough resources to carry out the practical in the syllabus.
There is arts and crafts room with rich resources to help students sharpen their skills in arts and crafts.
The computer lab has modern computer systems which run on latest software. The computers are connected through high speed internet.
Hostel Facility
The college also provides hostel facility to the students coming from the different parts of the state and country. The college administration provides all the facilities to students which ensure a pleasant stay to students and help them to focus more effectively on their studies.
Extracurricular Activities
Extracurricular activities are the part of the syllabus. The college has its own playground within the campus where students play many games like cricket, football, volleyball etc. The college also participates in various games and sports events.
There are many societies and clubs in the college which organizes many programs and competitions along with social service and social awareness events to inculcate social service values and develop team work spirit among students. The students are also provided opportunities to teach in numerous primary, middle and high schools across the city which helps them to gain real life classroom teaching experience.
Academics
ATTC has been offering B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) degree course in numerous subjects since 2013. The college has also introduced D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) degree course from the 2017 session. The college has improved a lot since its establishment and is creating milestones in teachers' training education. All these have been possible only because of the sincere effort and dedication of the teaching staffs.
