About Pandua Ideal Teacher's Training College
Pandua Ideal Teacher's Training College, located in Malda district of West Bengal was established in the year 2014. The college is affiliated with the University of Gour Banga, Malda and also approved by the Government of West Bengal under the department of Primary Eduction.
Infrastructure & Facilities
The college is located in a lush green campus and has state of the art infrastructure. There are separate blocks for each department. The classrooms are spacious and airy having all the basic facilities like proper desk, benches, almirah etc.
There is a multipurpose hall and a girls common room. There is also facility of gymnasium.
The college library has around 4000 of text books, reference books, journals, magazines and reports. The library is updated with latest edition and new publications every year. There is a separate section for journals and magazines. There is an attached reading room to the library where students can sit and read books from library.
There are separate laboratories for subjects like Physical Science, Geography, Psychology etc. having all the basic resources and apparatus to carry out the experiment work related with the syllabus.
There is also a computer lab having modern computer systems and these computers are connected through high speed internet.
Hostel Facility
The college also provides hostel accommodation to students coming from different parts of the state and the country. The students are provided all the facilities like geysers, coolers, indoor games, common room with T.V, round the clock water and electricity supply and hot and delicious hygienic meals.
Extracurricular Activities
The college has its own playground and it also provides facility to students for playing indoor games like carom, table tennis etc. The college also organizes many sports events and participates in athlete meets and games events organized by the University to encourage students to participate in games and sports.
Besides these, seminars and workshops are organized on regular basis to keep the students updated with latest educational resources and teaching methods.
The college has tie up with ten schools across the state where students get an opportunity to practice teaching.
Academics
The college offers two year B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) and D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) course to students. The college has improved a lot in last three years and is gaining popularity among students because of its quality teaching.
