About Bangarh Scholar Teachers’ Training Institute
Bangarh Scholar Teachers' Training Institute located in Dakshin Dinajpur district of West Bengal was established in the year 2015. The newly established college is affiliated to the University of Gour Banga, Malda and approved and recognized by the Government of West Bengal.
Infrastructure & Facilities
The college campus is located at an ideal position easily accessible through all the means of transport. The college has average quality infrastructure. There are ten classrooms and all of them are fully furnished, spacious and ventilated and are loaded with all the basic facilities that ensure the smooth running of classes.
There are separate common rooms for girls and boys and there is also a multipurpose hall where many programs and events are organized by the college from time to time.
The college library is stocked with more than 4000 of books, journals, magazines and reports. There is an attached reading room with the library having seating capacity of 100 people at a time.
There are 10 laboratories and resource center for subjects like Physical Science, Life Science, Psychology, Geography, Arts and Crafts center. All of these laboratories are equipped with requisite resources and apparatus to carry out the practical which make the learning process easy and fun. There is also a cafeteria in the college campus which serves hot and pure hygienic edibles round the clock.
Hostel Facility
BSTTI also provides hostel accommodation to students coming from other parts of the state and the country. The college administration provides all the facilities to students which ensure a pleasant stay to students.
Co-Curricular Activities
The college has its own playground and provides indoor and outdoor games facility to students. The college also participates in sports events organized by the University and awards the good players with medals, trophies and scholarship.
Various other competitions, social service programs, seminars and workshops are organized by the college for the all-round development of students.
The college has tie up with more than 20 schools across the city where students get an opportunity to practice teachings.
Academics
The college was first granted permission to run only D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) but it was granted permission to run B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) course from the new session of 2016. The college aspires to provide best quality education to aspiring teachers and the teaching faculty and other non-teaching staffs are working with great dedication in this direction.
