About A.S.P College of Education
A.S.P College of Education is one of the premier institutes of South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal. The college is affiliated to West Bengal Board of Primary Education and WBUTTEPA. The college is run under ASP Education and Welfare Trust.
Infrastructure & Facilities
The college is located on a vast land area and has state of the art infrastructure. The classrooms have been beautifully designed and they are very spacious and airy and loaded with all the requisite resources and facilities.
The college library has been stocked with large number of text books, reference books, reports and periodicals. There is a different section for journals and magazines and there is also an attached reading room where students read after class.
There are separate laboratories and resource centers for many subjects like Social Science, Mathematics, Psychology, Language and Biology. These labs are not very modern but they have all the tools and apparatus required by students. The computer lab is also equipped with modern computer systems running on latest software.
There is an arts and crafts center and a music room for those who are interested in singing and dancing. There are separate common rooms for boys and girls and there is also a multipurpose hall where a number of programs are organized by the college.
There is a canteen in the college campus which serves pure and hygienic meals, snacks, tea, coffee etc. round the clock at reasonable rate.
Co-Curricular Activities
The college has its own playground where students play a number of games and sports and the college provides all the sports materials to students. Various sports and games events are also organized by the college and it also participates in events organized by the University.
Besides games and sports the college also organizes various cultural fests and competitions like dancing, singing, painting etc. for all the all-round development of students. Many educational tours, seminars and workshops are organized on regular interval. There are many societies and clubs in the college which organizes various social service and social awareness programs to inculcate social service values and team work spirit among students.
Academics
A.S.P College of Education is specialized in teachers' training and offers two year D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) and B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) course divided into four semesters. The college has good academic record so far and is improving every tomorrow. All these have been possible only because of the sincere efforts and dedication of the highly trained and qualified teaching staffs. The teachers at this college are very helpful and most of them have very friendly relations with students and this relationship help to make a learning environment inside the classrooms and the students feel very comfortable in grasping things.
