Abdur Rahim Panchanan Pal Institution is located in the Murshidabad district of West Bengal. The college is affiliated to The University of Kalyani and approved by the Government of West Bengal.
Infrastructure & Facilities The college campus is not very big and has average quality infrastructure. There are separate blocks for each department. The classrooms are spacious and well ventilated and have all the basic facilities and resources.
There is a library which has been stocked with vast collection of text books and reference books on different subjects and topics. There is also a separate section for journals, magazines and reports.
There are separate laboratories for subjects like Mathematics, Biology, Life Science, Geography, Physical Science etc. equipped with latest tools and apparatus and students carry out the practical under the guidance of able and qualified teachers.
There are also resource centers for Psychology and Arts and Crafts to enrich the skills of students.
There is a canteen in the campus which serves pure and hygienic meals and snacks round the clock at subsidized rate.
Hostel Facility The college also provides hostel accommodation to students coming from other part of the state and the country. The college management is directly under college administration and the students are provided all the facilities along with round the clock water and electricity supply.
Co-Curricular Activities There is a playground in the college campus where students play a number of games like Cricket, Football, Volleyball etc. under the guidance of game teacher and coach. The college also organizes games and sports events to encourage students to active participation in games and sports.
Various programs on social awareness and social services like tree plantation, malaria and dengue awareness, cleanliness movement etc. are organized on regular intervals to inculcate social service values, leadership skills and team work spirits among students.
The college also provides internship opportunity to students to practice teaching in numerous schools across the city where they get real life experience of teaching in a classroom.
Academics The college offers two years B.Ed (Bachelor of Education) and D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) course to students. There are two units of B.Ed (100 students) and one unit of D.El.Ed (50 students). The college imparts high quality teachers' training education to students and the main reason behind this is the dedicated batch of teachers who work in a professional way and have strong grip over their subjects.
