About Brahmananda Keshab Chandra College
Brahmananda Keshab Chandra College(BKC College) is an undergraduate science-arts college in Kolkata,West Bengal,India.The institution was established in 1956 and was named after social reformer Keshab Chandra Sen.Until 2008,this college was affiliated to the University of Calcutta.But it is now affiliated with the West Bengal State University.
BKC College offers undergraduate courses across 3 streams namely Sciences, Arts,Humanities and across 2 degrees like B.A., B.Sc and 2 post graduate courses:
Undergraduate courses-
Science-B.Sc Honours in Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Botany, Zoology, Economics, Major in Industrial Fish and Fisheries.
Humanities - B.A Honours in English, Bengali, History, Political Science and Philosophy.
Post graduate courses-
Msc in Mathematics and Msc in Botany.
Hostel facility is available for girls students.Additional facilities such as Canteen, Comp. Lab, Lib, Medical Fac., Cls. Room are also there.College has also a big play ground for its students.
