About Nitte Meenakshi Institute of Technology
Affiliated to the Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belgaum and approved by the AICTE, New Delhi, the college offers a 4 year graduate programme in engineering leading to the award of the degree-Bachelor of Engineering (B.E). The college also offers postgraduate programmes, that is, Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Computer Applications (MCA) and M.Tech.(VLSI & Embedded Systems).
Under the able guidance of well-known academician and former Vice-chancellor of Bangalore University, Prof. N R Shetty who is aided by a dedicated team of highly qualified and experienced staff, the institution has met with immediate success in the academic circle. All the courses offered by the college have good job potential and meet the requirements of different segments of the industries and other user organisations.
The campus is situated on a sprawling 23 acre land in the calm sylvan environs of Govindapura, Gollahalli village.

1. M.Tech in VLSI Design & Embedded Systems.
Seats: 18
Eligibility: B. E./ B.tech./ AMIE from VTU or any other recognized university/ institute. Students need to have passed the prescribed qualifying examination with not less than 50% marks in aggregate of all years of the degree examinations.
Course affiliation: Visvesvaraya Technological University (VTU) & approved by AICTE, New Delhi.
2. B.E. in Mechnical Engineering:
Seats: 60
Course duration: 4 years. Eligibility criteria: Passed PUC/ 10+2 exam with Physics & Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry, Biotechnology/ Biology with at least 45% of marks (40% marks in case of reserved category students) in the above subjects taken together.
Eligibility criteria for lateral entry to 2nd year B.E.: Passed diploma examination from AICTE approved institution with minimum 50% marks (45% marks in case of reserved category students) in appropriate branch of engineering/ technology.
Course Affiliation: VTU and approved by AICTE, New Delhi.
