About Government Degree College, Tadipatri
About collegeIt started in the year 1978 by the government of Andhra Pradesh as a co-educational institute at Tadipatri in Anantapur district. It has NAAC Accreditation of "B+" grade obtained in the year 2007 and offers many courses from the field of arts, commerce, and science.
AdmissionAdmissions are done or offered as per the norms of Sri Krishnadevaraya University and the candidates get shortlisted on the basis of the marks obtained in 10+2 level examinations.
FacilitiesThe college has all the basic facilities required to facilitate the good learning. There is a big library with a number of books from different fields; it has well equipped and advanced laboratories to support the practical learning of students, computer labs and proper space for other co-curricular activities.
The college also has facilities and proper arrangements for some indoor and outdoor games like Volleyball, Cricket, Chess, etc. An indoor multi gym is also available in the college.
Distance EducationA very positive point about this college is the facility of distance education. The college has Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University Center started a few years ago. It supports the students from the nearby villages, housewives, and industry employees to pursue their higher education through distance education mode.
