College Overview
Sri Venkateswara Degree College is a self-financing private institution established in the year 1999 in Anantapur district of Andhra Pradesh. The college is approved by Andhra Pradesh State Council for Higher Education, Hyderabad and it is affiliated to Sri Krishnadevaraya University. The college offers UG and PG courses at degree level. The main objective of establishing this educational institution is to provide quality education to the students. The motto of the college is to develop professionals with sound knowledge and skill, respect for the profession, social and national values and ethics.
About the college
This is the first college to be established under SV brand. In the first year, the admitted intake was just 107. However, the degree college secured the highest percentage among all the affiliated colleges under the region. This happened because of imparting quality education, maintenance of strict discipline and high standards. It occupied the top position in the first year itself in terms of academic excellence. Today, the college is ranked as one of the best degree colleges in the entire Rayalaseema region and the present student intake is more than 3000. The college has a separate hostel and mess facilities for boys and girls students.
